About Me

Picture

Hi!  My name is Becky Wester.  I was conceived, born, raised, and currently live in the mountains of East Tennessee.  I specifically live in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.  Knoxville is a city on the Tennessee River where around 200,000 people call home.  Located at the base of the great Smoky Mountains, this paradise offers 4 distinct seasons and one photo opportunity after another.

While Knoxville is my home where I live, "Random Thoughts and Daily Blessings" is my cyber home.  I moved into here, so to speak.  to have a presence on the internet which allows me to express myself concerning various subjects and opinions via my blog.  I may write about my baby dogs one day and the next express concern regarding the fires in California.

I love to write and do so as often as I can.  I will never, however, be able to "put pen to paper" to write a book.  My ability to focus on one thing at a time is limited.  Through a blog, however, I can jump around different subject matters from one day to the next and never get tired of what I am writing about.

As of October 2018, I will be 67 years old.  That just doesn't seem real to me, but it is the truth.  Of those 67 years I have spent something like 60 of them as a preacher's daughter.  That little fact, in and of itself, is interesting and will the subject of some of my blog posts from time to time.

I spent over 32 years of my life working in the field of juvenile justice.  My initial goal was to save the world, but I ended up only being able to accomplish an occasional adjustment to a young life.  Working with juvenile delinquents is a very challenging but often rewarding job.  Those years were filled with writing material and will also receive notable mention in my blog.

I was married to a Knox County deputy for nearly 25 years.  Ours was a good marriage for many years that ended in divorce due to life happenings.  He died two years after our divorce.  Even though I was the one that ended our marriage, I continue to love him to this day.  My marriage to a police officer, Jeeper, amateur radio operator, and computer wizard will be the focus of many of my blog posts.

So, kick back and let's get started.  I am ready to write and I hope you are ready to read.  This is going to be a blast.

Here's to the journey,
Becky Earl Wester
